Help make some noise for the planet, as One Earth launches its 12th festival season! Create your own revelry at home while you tune in online. A brief program will began at 7:30 p.m., with a previous One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest-winning film (“A Revolution Dance Against Petcoke”); opening remarks by Jared Policicchio, Chicago’s Deputy Chief Sustainability Officer; and the exclusive screening of a short film "Wood Hood," followed by a keynote from Jahmal Cole, Founder & CEO of the change-making Chicago-based youth nonprofit, My Block, My Hood, My City (M3). M3’s mission speaks to how justice and empowerment—tools for restoring both people and planet—can remake our blocks, our neighborhoods, our cities, our countries, and our world.
LAUNCH PARTY PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS:
- Ana Garcia Doyle, Executive Director, One Earth Collective
- Sue Crothers, Founding Director, One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest (prerecorded)
